I want to serve on the CAS Board of Directors because I am deeply committed to the growth, relevance, and global impact of our profession. As an actuary based in Asia with experience across consulting, insurance, and reinsurance, I have had the privilege of working in diverse environments and collaborating with professionals across markets. This international perspective has given me a strong appreciation for both the shared values we hold as actuaries and the unique challenges faced by members around the world.
Throughout my career, I have benefited tremendously from the CAS, not only through the strength of its credentials and educational resources, but also through the relationships, insights, and opportunities it has provided. I have tried to give back by actively volunteering in various capacities, and these experiences have only deepened my belief in the value of member-driven leadership.
Now, I want to help lead the Society in a way that reflects the evolving nature of our work. Actuaries are being asked to take on broader, more strategic roles—from analytics and risk management to innovation and sustainability. The CAS must continue to equip its members with the tools and vision to thrive in this changing landscape, while also remaining inclusive, agile, and globally engaged.
Serving on the Board would allow me to contribute meaningfully to these goals. I want to be a voice for international members, a champion for innovation, and an advocate for diversity within the profession. I would be honored to help shape the Society’s next chapter.
If elected, I would like to focus on the following priorities:
Global Engagement - Strengthen international partnerships and expand the global recognition of CAS credentials. CAS actuaries should be seen as global risk experts.
Education for the Future - Modernize our education and CPD to meet emerging risks—like cyber, AI, and climate. Our members deserve tools that keep them at the cutting edge.
Access & Inclusion - Create more pathways for international and underrepresented candidates. That includes accessible materials, mentorship, tailored exams, and localized events.
Member Connection – Voices from all member locations matter. I’ll advocate for representation, time-zone-friendly access, and stronger regional engagement.
